AW Family Lands in India

Flawless Weighing for Biffa in Winchester & Portsmouth

The contract involved the installation of 6x load cell systems on each of 44 Dennis Eagle Elite RCV’s.  The weighing technology was fitted at Dennis Eagle’s factory in Warwick, before being wired and calibrated by VWS.

David Maidman, BIFFA Operations Director said: “With such a large district there is a greater risk for vehicles to run overweight, so reliable and accurate weighing equipment is crucial to keep our fleets compliant and safe.”

Local Firm's 'Pink' Charity Day Raises £700

The Directors agreed to match the funds raised on the day so an amazing total of £700 was achieved.

Staff cooked, baked cakes and brought in pizza for a festive lunch, and there were prizes for the best pink outfits as well as games like ‘Guess the Number of smarties in the jar’.

A Simple Weighing Solution

London-based commercial waste management company Simply Waste Solutions has fitted weighing equipment to its new fleet of vehicles, as part of a million pound investment.

Market leading weighing company, Vehicle Weighing Solutions (VWS) has fitted underbody weighing systems to the company’s latest fleet of vehicles comprising 6 RCV’s.  One of the vehicles has also been fitted with its ENVIROWEIGH dynamic bin-weighing system.

VWS had the Measure of Yorwaste's Food Collection Service

The Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) selected Yorwaste along with six other companies across the UK to receive funding to run a commercial food waste collection service. From October Yorwaste will collect food waste from around 500 businesses throughout Yorkshire and Teeside.

By installing bin-weighing equipment to its food waste vehicle – a DAF LF Fa Lf 45 with Farid Minipac –  Yorwaste is able to measure exactly how much food waste is being collected from each bin, how much is being diverted from landfill and then report the results back to WRAP. 

Britain's Best Bin Weigher Measures Up in Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland’s premier supplier of refuse vehicles, Manvik Plant & Hire Ltd., won the tender to provide 6 refuse vehicles to the Authority, two of which specified weighing equipment.  Vehicle Weighing Solutions were selected as the preferred supplier.

Alan Haire, General Manager, Manvik said: “Armagh are using the weighing technology to analyse and monitor loads. VWS were selected because of their price competitiveness and the accuracy of the ENVIROWEIGH system.”

Cheque Presentation from One OWL on Another

The money was raised from the proceeds of a hog roast held at the Plant & Waste Recycling Show (PAWRS) in Torbay earlier this summer. The donation will go towards the charity’s Fund-a-Bird scheme, which aims to rehabilitate homeless birds of prey, such as owls.

Vijay Maru will present the cheque on behalf of Vehicle Weighing Solutions, alongside Jason Airey of CMS Supatrak and Dave Tucker from Vision Techniques.

Enterprise Introduces Bin Weighing into Square Mile

Both compartments on the capital’s new fleet of Geesink Plug-in Electric Multi-faction RCV’s have been fitted with the ENVIROWEIGH bin-weighing system from Vehicle Weighing Solutions, enabling Enterprise to provide accurate data and a more transparent service to its clients in the capital’s Square Mile.
