A Simple Weighing Solution
October 2012
London-based commercial waste management company Simply Waste Solutions has fitted weighing equipment to its new fleet of vehicles, as part of a million pound investment.

Market leading weighing company, Vehicle Weighing Solutions (VWS) has fitted underbody weighing systems to the company’s latest fleet of vehicles comprising 6 RCV’s.  One of the vehicles has also been fitted with its ENVIROWEIGH dynamic bin-weighing system.

James Capel, Managing Director, Simply Waste Solutions said: “As the cost of disposing of waste continues to rise we need to be fully informed about how much we are collecting from each customer.  Also, increasingly our customers want to keep tabs on their waste so together we can take measures to reduce and recycle to avoid sending waste to landfill. It’s for everyone’s benefit.”

He added: “The products from VWS are great as is their service and back-up. In the future we are likely to have VWS weighing equipment on our whole fleet.”

VWS specialises in on-board weighing, bin-weighing and axle load protection, and its ENVIROWEIGH bin weighing system is the first 100% British manufactured weights and measures certified bin-weigher, accurate to within 0.5% or better.

Julian Glasspole, Managing Director, Vehicle Weighing Solutions said: “Simply Waste Solutions are a dynamic company and we are delighted to be chosen as their weighing partner.”

Since 2005 when Simply Waste Solutions was established it has grown from a small company with 2 collection vehicles to a large company with a fleet of 25 vehicles and customers that include household names such as John Lewis, Debenhams and Waitrose.  Although primarily operating in the Greater London area Simply Waste offers nationwide coverage through its network of partners across the UK.

VWS belongs to a family of complimentary British companies known collectively as AW.  AW specialises in the design, manufacture, installation and servicing of load cells, weighing systems and traffic management systems.
