OWL Wins Waste Product of the Year
June 2012
Commenting on the award, Jason Airey said that “we are very happy to be presented with this award. The OWL partnership strives to demonstrate best practice in waste collection and it is great that the industry has recognised this”.
Julian Glasspole of VWS commented that “we are so excited to win this award. The recognition of our joined up approach is great and we are looking forward to working with more organistions in the future to help them improve their operational efficiency”.
Throughout the PAWRS event, OWL hosted the OWL Innovation Zone, which enabled visitors to view the technologies in action. A demonstration vehicle was on show, which was fitted with VWS weighing solutions, CMS SupaTrak telematics and Vision Techniques live camera recording equipment. There was also a live birds of prey demonstration each day, which proved very popular with show visitors. Donations were collected during the daily hog roast, which raised over £500 for the Hawk Conservancy.
