VWS Focuses on Bin Weighing at WASTE
May 2015

At the centre of their showcase on Stand M1 at WASTE ’15 (2 July AJ Bell Stadium, Salford) Vehicle Weighing Solutions Ltd will be demonstrating its ENVIROWEIGH bin-weighing system, still the most popular and accurate bin weigher for waste management operators. The company also promises to impress visitors with an exciting range of new and innovative products.

During the past 12 months VWS has developed its own software package, PurGo, designed specifically for the waste collection and recycling industry.  When used in conjunction with the VWS bin weighing system waste operators can streamline their operations, by identifying the heaviest bins, and therefore bill accurately, as well as provide better reporting for customers. The result can mean millions of £’s worth of savings.

Julian Glasspole, Managing Director, Vehicle Weighing Solutions Ltd said: “We have been working very hard over the last year and we are delighted with the results of our efforts.  Alongside our successful established products we have some very exciting new innovations that we are very excited to be showcasing at Waste ’15. The PurGo system takes the weights directly from each ENVIROWEIGH bin weigher and analyses the weights of every bin to produce accurate billing.  The two systems work so harmoniously together and there is definitely a demand for this kind of system in the waste management sector.”

VWS is also presenting its latest ‘best yet’ Van Overload Protection System – VOPS2.  More accurate than its predecessor VOPS2 is also easier to install and has an in-cab indicator display giving drivers clear front and rear, net and gross, axle weights.

Continued Julian: “Overloading a van is very easy to do and currently over 20% of vans that have been stopped are running overloaded. VOPS2 is leading in its field and provides continual, reliable data giving peace of mind to van operators and drivers, by preventing overloading from occurring.”

VWS belongs to a family of complimentary British companies known collectively as AW.co.uk specialising in the design, manufacture, installation and servicing of load cells, weighing and traffic monitoring systems.
