Vehicle weighing experts, Vehicle Weighing Solutions Ltd (VWS), are back at Tip-Ex this year with a range of brand new, British-made, onboard weighing systems developed exclusively for the Tipper and Tanker market place.

Julian Glasspole, Managing Director, VWS said: “We won the award for Show Innovation and since then we’ve been working even harder to develop weighing and overload protection systems for tipper and tanker operators that offer even better value for money, greater accuracy and ultra reliability. We’re excited about launching these products at the show and we’re confident that delegates will be impressed.”

The all new on board weighing systems can be seen on the Dennis Eagle /Weightlifter PPG Tipper vehicle and the AliWeld ‘25 years in Business’ Tipper vehicle, both of which are on show at Tip-Ex this year.

The LOADWEIGH 3 and LOADWEIGH 4 range of onboard weighing systems include as standard, an intelligent junction box, overload protection and tipper stability, as well as self-diagnostics and self-calibrating features, plus full links to all major tracking companies. Like all VWS products the load cells are manufactured here in the UK by VWS from British Steel, under full ISO 90001 Quality Assurance procedures.

Julian added: “We believe it is important to invest in the UK. We have been building our load cells here in England for 25 years and we have all the full approvals in place. We also manufacture our own load cell weight indicators and new intelligent CAN junction boxes here rather than importing. When a tipper is up in the air customers want peace of mind that the load cells that hold the body to the chassis are fully traceable and made in the UK, not a cheap low quality import.”

Safety is of the utmost importance to VWS, so for the second year running they are sponsoring and judging the Tipper Safety Award, the winner of which will be announced at a Gala dinner on Friday 3 June at Harrogate’s Majestic Hotel.
