Newly appointed to the Sales Team at Vehicle Weighing Solutions Ltd (VWS), Norman Bowes has been working in the municipal vehicle sector for nearly 15 years.

Julian Glasspole, Managing Director, VWS said: “We are delighted to welcome Norman to the team.  Norman has been a friend for years and he is well known in the waste sector. He will be spending most of his time on the road visiting potential customers.”

Norman will be covering a large area from the Scottish borders down to Cornwall on the west side, incorporating the midlands.

Born in Middlesbrough Norman started his working life as an apprentice mechanic at ICI in the North East, before converting to an instrument technician which took him to the middle east for a few years. He went on to run his own tool hire business before taking a role working for a municipal hire business in Bristol in early 2000.  Since then he has worked for various companies in the waste vehicle sector.

Norman said: “I’ve always liked VWS and the company is on a steady upward trajectory with a continually expanding and improving product range. It is an easy sell for me and I’m excited about bringing the VWS weighing portfolio to new and existing customers.”
