VWS PurGo is a simplified software solution based around streamlining processes from Sales through to Operations such as route scheduling, Admin, Billing and Reporting.

Andy Gibbons, Managing Director, Equinox Recycling explains: “The VWS PurGo system is very intuitive and easy to use, like an iphone, and is helping us to streamline every aspect of our operations. We used to use a very well known but very complicated system.  It enabled us to do everything but just took too long to do it and required a lot of training to grasp.  Since using VWS PurGo we haven’t required any training at all although we have used the telephone support service, which has been fantastic.”

VWS PurGo uses technology such as in-cab PDAs to schedule work and capture data.  It can link on-board systems such as bin- weighing, CCTV systems, telematics/CANbus and has a web-portal and smartphone app for billing and reporting.  It also integrates well with back office sales and accounting packages such as Salesforce, Sage and Coda. VWS PurGo customers pay a monthly subscription for use of the software, which includes a support service should they need it.

Until now Equinox had always employed external suppliers to provide accounting services but since VWS PurGo has been installed the company has brought all of its functions back in-house.

Equinox Recycling operates in and around Kent with a fleet of 7 vehicles, comprising 6 RCV’s and one van.  The company is currently having the ENVIROWEIGH bin-weighing system from Vehicle Weighing Solutions Ltd (VWS) installed to one of its vehicles.  VWS PurGo works in harmony with ENVIROWEIGH by taking the weights directly from each bin-weigher automatically, so there is no need for any manual data collection, and analysing the information to provide accurate billing.
