Manufactured in Britain by VWS the APOLLO system is the next generation of in-motion and static axle-by-axle weighing.

The APOLLO ‘Ground Squeezer’ Portable in-motion Weighbridge comprises two robust and easy to set up weighing platforms linked by Bluetooth to a battery powered indicator.  Accurate to within 2% it can weigh up to 16 axles at any one time and up to 30,000 kg per axle. It can fit into the back of a car and is perfect for operators who can’t install a fixed weighbridge or wish to use the equipment at multiple sites or difficult to reach areas. Weight records are easily transferred to a laptop or PC with a USB memory stick.

And to complete VWS’ one-stop weighing shop there is the VIPER WIM high speed in-motion system available through its sister company Applied Traffic, the UK’s leading provider of high and low speed weigh in motion equipment, classification systems and traffic monitoring solutions.

 

Used by the Vehicle Operator Standards Agency to screen vehicles the VIPERWIM High Speed Weigh-in-Motion system has been developed to target overweight vehicles travelling at high speeds on highways and motorways pinpointing immediate infringements. The ‘VIPER WIM’ system is supplying data on bridge protection to various organisations including the Highways Agency.  It measures every vehicle and every axle and is VOSA’s national standard for weigh-in-motion enforcement classification and data collection on their nationwide network.
