VWS is an independent British company dedicated to providing weighing systems that gives operators payload control to combat overloading. We are showing our range of market leading onboard weighing systems on stand 3E99 at the CV Show 2012.

VWS is demonstrating its NEW axle overload protection system: VOPS2, an innovative and effective solution to the problems of safely loading lighter commercial vehicles.

Established in 2005 with a manufacturing base in Reading and an extensive installation facility in Chesterfield, VWS is renowned for a full range of standard and bespoke systems to maximize legal utilisation of vehicles.

The VOPS2 Vehicle Overload Protection System is retrofitted in about three hours and is suitable for any four-wheeler 2.8 to 18 tones GVW. Weights are displayed to the driver on the simple to use, bright and clear in-cab M350S indicator. For larger vehicles with air suspension and fifth wheels VWS supplies Air Weigher.

Also on show is TRADEWEIGH, a legal-for-trade chassis weighing system and ENVIROWEIGH, a fully integrated dynamic and approved wheeled bin weighing and RF identification system for charge-by-weight and bin monitoring. VWS vehicle trackers and telemetry systems interface to back-office software so operators can scrutinize individual bin weights and load capacity in real-time whilst reducing the risk of vehicle overloads. It monitors inefficient half-loads and fraudulent collections whilst tracking the location of the vehicle and driver behaviour for better fuel efficiency. Together with fixed axle weighing, full weighbridges and nationwide on-site service VWS products are the most extensive in the industry.
